F. Stuart Chapin III

F. Stuart “Terry” Chapin III is a professor at the Institute of Arctic Biology and the Department of Biology and Wildlife at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He is also the principal investigator of the Bonanza Creek Long-Term Ecological Research program, which aims to improve understanding of the long-term consequences of changing climate and disturbance regimes in the Alaskan boreal forest. He has authored over five hundred academic and popular articles and ten books, including the textbook Principles of Natural Resource Stewardship: Resilience-Based Management in a Changing World (2009).
