Kate Rawles

Kate Rawles is a lecturer in the School of Outdoor Studies at the University of Cumbria. In 2002 she was awarded a National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts Fellowship to develop Outdoor Philosophy, short courses that combine inspirational experiences of wild places with critical thinking about our relationship with the environment. In 2006 she was awarded a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship and cycled 4,500 miles, from El Paso to Anchorage, exploring North American attitudes and beliefs about climate change.
