Linda Hogan

Linda Hogan is a Chickasaw essayist, poet, and novelist whose writings explore the connection between humans and animals. She has served on the National Endowment for the Arts Poetry Panel and recently retired from teaching creative writing at the University of Colorado. She has published sixteen books, including the Pulitzer Prize–winning novel Mean Spirit (1990), and her most recent book, People of the Whale: A Novel (2008).
